The Anatomy of a Good Leather Bag

A bag is judged, fairly or not, on how it looks on a shelf. But the details that matter most reveal themselves after months of use: whether the stitching holds under real weight, whether the hardware tarnishes gracefully or cheaply, whether the lining survives being packed and unpacked hundreds of times.
We build to a simple standard — every seam should be able to carry more than it will ever be asked to, and every material inside a bag should be worth including even where no one will see it.
